MY TURNING POINT (PART 2)

Sermon Note.

Psalm 80:7

Turn us again, O God of hosts, and cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved.

A turning point is not by chance but the result of engaging with God’s word and acting in faith to experience a dramatic positive change in life. It is not what you wait for, but you enforce through violent faith and actions.
It is a supernatural shift from struggles to success through faith and divine intervention
Nobody in the Scriptures experienced
Turning Point by chance or doing nothing. The turning point is not for lazy, faithless, and unconcerned believers, but for those who are committed to the development, progress, and continuous change of levels from glory to glory.
You cannot be turned more than you are willing to press harder for a change of story. If you are less concerned and doing nothing about yourself, but expecting God to do everything for you. You cannot enjoy the turning point. It’s like the door you knock on. Matt.7:7-8.
All the men and women who experienced divine turning points pay the heavy price of prayers and faith. Obedience and righteousness. They put their comfort aside and faced the issues of their lives squarely. Turning point is not what you wish but the encounter you enforce rigorously through consistent prayers, faith, and the word of God. Sometimes it will cost you your sleep, abstaining from food and comfort, or pleasures.
There is a purpose why God is making February our month of Turning point so as to help press hard for the
establishment of our New Daw 2026.
Turning point is not a song to sing but work to do with all you have. Lk.16:16.

WHAT ARE THE TURNING POINTS IN THE LIFE OF A BELIEVER

  1. When perpetual sorrow turns to joy for you:1Chron. 4:9-10. Jabez was more honourable than his brethren, and his mother named him Jabez, saving because I bore him in pain. Now Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying. Oh that thou would bless me indeed and enlarge my coast and that thy hands might be with me and that thou would keep me from evil that it will not grieve me. And God granted him that which he requested. There are issues in life that cause pain and sorrow of heart. Those things that make you weep secretly, when God turns them to joy for you ten you at your turning point. His life reflected his name, and he needed something better, so he did something to change the happenings around his life. He did not fold his hands and lament or fix the blame, but took the bull by the two horns. He invested his time and energy in prayers. He did not arrive at his turning point by fixing blames or doing things that are not relevant to his change of story. He had priority.
God will turn you for good if you cannot tarry in the place of prayer and the word. Sacrifice your nights to pray like Jabez. Hannah arrived at her turning point through prayers and faith in God.
She left the pleasure of eating, embracing tasting and prayers.
What are you sacrificing to arrive at your turning point? It must cost you something.
  2. When penury and hardship turn to plenty and prosperity: 2Kg 4:1-3 & 7. The condition of the widow of the Prophet was so bad that her 2 sons were taken as slaves for the unpaid debt of their late father. She suffered embarrassment for her apathy towards the issues of her family. She did nothing about repayment of the debt until the creditors laid hold of her sons before she cried out. Thank God it was not too late for her. Divine intervention brought her to her turning point. If you will stop watching the challenges of your life and arise or cry out to God, He will turn you and change your story for good.
