Luke 17:15

One of them, when he saw he was healed, came back, praising God in a loud voice.

God has his grip on us through His grace & we have our grip on God through our praise. God is interested in us returning in praise & thanksgiving. There is enormous power in returning to god with praise. Thanksgiving is an application for more. We are celebrating triumph not victory because in victory, your effort is needed. One way to appreciate god is to yield your life & give your time to God.
